English Language GCSE Booster (1-1) - Extended lesson

BOOST YOUR GRADE

This class is ideal for pupils who are struggling to get or maintain a passing grade, or who are working to a tight deadline, such as a resit, and are struggling to understand basic curriculum and exam requirements.

In this class your child will :

• improve their essay-writing and SPaG skills;
• learn how to develop interesting creative and factual writing pieces required for Task 2 in both language papers;
• master 'language' and 'structure' features and learn how to apply them correctly in exam questions
• and learn the relevant subject terminology. for analysing and writing about texts.

As well as the usual worksheets and exam practice papers, your child will learn using online games, quizzes and puzzles.

Included in your fee are subscriptions to IXL (Maths and English) and STORYBOARDTHAT (rrp £25 a month)
